MARGOT ROBBIE FOR CHANEL N°5
For those seeking a California getaway, a Margot Robbie glow and Jacob Elordi on speed dial, Chanel N°5 is the answer. Our new favourite Australian duo (and rumoured stars of what will be Emerald Fennell's interpretation of Wuthering Heights) feature in the new campaign for the fragrance. Directed by Luca Guadagnino and to the sounds of Daft Punk, Robbie texts Elordi 'See you at 5' before getting dressed in her red Chanel mini skirt suit - a subtle nod to the perfume’s heritage, referencing the outfit worn by Carole Bouquet in Ridley Scott’s 1986 N°5 film. Robbie gets in her convertible to meet him, the fragrance by her side. Elordi rides his motorcycle down the road to Big Sur, ready to rendez-vous... until they miss each other. Moral of the story? Who needs a man when you've got Chanel N°5 to accompany . Robbie dives into an ocean of N°5, the embodiment of desire, and is carefree forevermore.
It’s a match made in heaven for Robbie too, who has had a longstanding love for perfume. In a quote given exclusively to 10, she says, “I love fragrance. I always have. I remember being really little and being so excited by the idea that one day I would be a woman and I would be able to wear perfume! Now, I wear it on my neck, I wear it on my wrists, I wear it every day – even when I go to bed at night. It really evokes a mood for me, which is why I always pick a fragrance for the characters I play.” See the campaign visuals below and watch the full film above.
