COURREGES: SS25
Nicolas Di Felice was in full flow for SS25 - the flow of a Möbius band. This collection played out like an infinite loop, with sounds of the ocean and Underworld's Born Slippy on blast, the Courreges army looked ready to go into an intergalactic, underwater battle. In a space created with Finnbish artist duo Grönlund-Nisunen, we were transported into a white space with a foaming pool of water.
The Courreges 1962 Haute Couture cape, created a year into the brand's inception, was the starting point for Di Felice to create pieces that protected them from the rest of the world: leather cocoons, hoods up, neoprene-bonded tailoring, low-rise leather pants, sleek and slinky dresses that found bounce and rippled with a jellyfish-like hem. Shield-like sunglasses were futuristic and shoes were oblique-cut to be scuba-esque. With everything in sync, Courreges was in the ultimate state of flow
