GUCCI PRESENTS THE GUCCI BLONDIE
We’re pressing play on Blondie’s greatest hits tonight, as Gucci releases the campaign for its new object of desire: the Italian ’70s-inspired shoulder bag, Gucci Blondie. For the new campaign, Debbie Harry is photographed by the award-winning photographer and filmmaker Nan Goldin on a night out in London. The AW24 Gucci collection was inspired by London and the history of a young Guccio Gucci who had worked as a lift boy at the Savoy Hotel, sparking his early appreciation of both elegance and luxury.
Tonight, Blondie and Blondie go out on the town with Nan Goldin capturing it all through her twilight lens with the effortlessness that Sabato De Sarno has brought to the brand. The bag itself features the early 1970s logo, with its Gs inverted and positioned face to face for maximum bold badass-ery. In shades of Ancora red, baby suede blue, classic camel and Gucci monogram, the Gucci Blondie comes leather-clad or enabled with a clever technique used while crafting Gucci jewellery. One way or another, we’re getting our hands on the new Gucci Blondie.
