CAMILLA AND MARC RELEASE 'OVARIES: TALK ABOUT THEM' T-SHIRTS
Do good, look good. Camilla and Marc are determined to raise awareness and drive funding needed for ovarian cancer. Hear, hear. Limited edition t-shirt's have been released, with 100% of proceeds being donated directly to Ovarian Cancer Research UNSW Sydney. “Along with countless others, we sadly lost our mother to ovarian cancer 26 years ago due to a late diagnosis," said Camilla Freeman-Topper. "The pain of losing my mother so suddenly was devastating and one of the most difficult things I have ever had to encounter. We want to start a powerful conversation now, so that our children and future generations can look forward to a future where deaths from ovarian cancer are a rarity rather than the norm.” The funding will support Associate Professor Caroline Ford and her team to develop an early detection test for ovarian cancer, as no such test exists and as there are minimal warning signs, it's unfortunately often too late. In Australia, three women die every day from the disease. "Early detection is as powerful as a cure," the campaign states. The t-shirts are available to buy here.
