CHANEL RELEASES SS25 CAMPAIGN
“Marseille is a city that puts me in touch with my emotions. I tried to capture its power of attraction, its breath of fresh air, and to convey the energy that reigns there,” said designer Virginie Viard backstage at the Chanel SS25 show earlier this year. Before the show began, photographer Jamie Hawkesworth took French model Lola Bahia around the city in the show’s best looks. A collection that celebrated the strong sense of freedom in Marseille, thanks to the “the sun, architecture, music and dance,” as Viard had said of what would be her final show, felt right at home in France’s second city.
For the campaign, Loli Bahia wears the season’s classic tweed jackets with athletic hood details, paired with cycling shorts, straw boater hats and pastel-coloured 11.12 handbags. That’s the Chanel Cruise SS25 uniform that is translating perfectly for our southern hemisphere Australian summer. See the full campaign below.
