Unveiling its latest selection of scholars just last week, the 12 cherry-picked student talents will receive close mentorship and virtual internship opportunities through Gucci Americas along with a hefty $20,000 academic scholarship from the Italian house. This year’s cohort includes Aaminah Syed, Marist College; Alan Rosas, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute; Amanda Fair, California State University, Los Angeles; Anya Dillard, Rutgers University; Azire Muhammad, Centenary College of Louisiana; Christopher Seng, Parsons School of Design; Faith Crawford, Howard University; Gregory Parks, Rhode Island School of Design; Jayda Murray, North Carolina State University; Mariana Segura, Savannah College of Art and Design; Matthew Beeston, Parsons School of Design, and Saima Tate, LIM College.
Founded in 2019, The Gucci Changemakers North America Scholarship Program intends to set up its selected scholars with the roadmap to becoming prevalent names in the design and fashion industries. It’s all about building up emerging, undergraduate creatives with unmet financial needs and empowering them and their abilities, in line with the house’s passionate commitment to making a difference for future figures in the fashion and design sectors.
