Rolling around every annum, the LVMH Prize for Young Designers stands as one of fashion’s most prestigious awards, championing the industry’s brightest emerging talents. Now in its 12th edition, the initiative has unveiled its 2025 semi-finalists – a diverse cohort of 20 designers selected from over 2,300 applications. This year’s shortlist spans 15 countries, including, for the first time, Egypt, Ghana and Saudi Arabia.
At stake are three major accolades: the LVMH Prize for Young Fashion Designers, offering a €400,000 endowment and a year-long, bespoke mentorship; the Karl Lagerfeld Prize, which grants €200,000 and tailored guidance; and the newly introduced Savoir-Faire Prize, also awarding €200,000 alongside a dedicated mentorship program.
The semi-finalists will present their collections on March 5 and 6, with the public invited to join the selection process. From March 5-9, fashion enthusiasts worldwide can explore the designers online and vote for their eight favorite candidates, alongside the official LVMH Prize Committee of Experts – an esteemed panel of over 80 international industry specialists. The winners will be announced soon after.
