BASSIKE REFRESHES THEIR IDENTITY

Bassike is beginning a new chapter. The Australian brand's Creative Director, Deborah Sams, is refreshing Bassike's identity with a new collection featuring fresh styles and silhouettes. "Our new visual direction is a reflection of us growing into ourselves as a brand which has endured, resonated and evolved over the years," Sams told 10 Magazine Austraila. "We wanted to expand upon our minimalistic and utilitarian nature and create a brand system that is unmistakably Bassike, whilst introducing new signifiers such as a bracketed ‘B’ monogram and typographic hierarchy."
The new Bassike features flashes of colour, more leather and more attitude. Of course, we had to ask about the soundtrack for this new era of the brand: "The brand has a universal mindset, which means we have an eclectic soundtrack," says Sams. "However, for our launch party last week we were excited to have live sets from Sultry & Sample that included a mix of neo-soul and hip-hop classics – anything that gets people dancing."
