Jordan Gogos knows how to put on a show. For his fourth runway show, the designer enlisted Elaine George to open the show in a shimmering, embellished, golden Gogos-gown. The rest of the models (including newcomer Indigenous models who George is mentoring Calli-Rose Woods and Hayley Mulardy) sauntered dramatically down the runway in the empowering embroidered, patch-worked collection, that celebrated the greats in Australian fashion history: Gogos reworked Linda Jackson's archival artworks onto the pieces, Jenny Banister's '70s punk dresses were reimagined, and Akira Isogawa returned as a collaborator. The Gogos utopia grows more brilliant with each collection.
