CAT MCNEIL FOR KSUBI
The best denim in the game has a new face. Australian supermodel Cat McNeil is Ksubi's reigning leader this season. Photographed by her longtime collaborator Pierre Toussaint, Cat hangs at home in North Queensland, wearing iconic Ksubi pieces including the Playback jeans and Brooklyn jeans - and a limited-edition denim jacket she has designed, featuring tattoo-inspired embroidery. The campaign celebrates Cat's journey through a documentary-style short film, by Jeremy Hancock and HOWL, in which Cat tells her story from her youth as a tomboy, to coming home during the pandemic and getting back to basics. “Ksubi has been a brand I’ve been a fan of for a long time," says Cat. "Hearing about the brand from people when I was living in New York and knowing where it came from Australia, I always felt Ksubi has been kind of an outsider that's focused on doing things in its own way, which is something I can relate to. Working on this campaign felt like a unique opportunity. Playing around at home with dirt bikes, working with people I’ve known for a long time and focusing on denim, which I wear everyday, was a cool experience." We like her style. The new season of Ksubi women's denim is available now.
