FIRST LOOK AT CHANEL 2022/23 MÉTIERS D'ART

As we countdown to tonight's Chanel - Dakar 2022/23 Métiers d'art show, an exclusive preview of the collection has arrived. Photographed by Malick Bodian, with creative direction by Ibrahim Kamara, the models Alaato Jazyper and Loli Bahia take over the River Seine in Paris in some of the collection's best looks. Brilliant purple sequins are sparkling, tweed is having a magnifique multicolour moment and a floral embroidery by Montex is in full bloom. Virginie Viard has created a technicolour Chanel dreamland.
“I always knew I wanted to do these kind of photos that reflect the relationship I have with the models,” says photographer Malick Bodian. “I really like it when people see this in my pictures. I like it how the models are looking into my eyes, at the camera. I think it gives something very real, full of emotions, humanising the photos. I like to show fashion in the most real way and I think that’s very rare.” Voila! The show will be presented in the heart of the former Palais de Justice in Dakar, a place chosen for its savoir-faire and for being a destination for many friends of the House.
The film of the CHANEL – Dakar 2022/23 Métiers d'art show will be unveiled tonight at 12am Sydney time, 1pm Dakar time and 2pm Paris time, on chanel.com.
