HAIDER ACKERMANN'S CANADA GOOSE DEBUT
“Everything in nature has something to teach us”, says Ethan Hawke, the actor-turned-activist who takes shape as the face of Haider Ackermann’s first capsule collection for cult outerwear label Canada Goose. Dubbed Snow Goose by Canada Goose, the AW24 capsule sees Ackermann – Canada Goose’s first-ever creative director – instil waterproof parka coats and knitted sweaters into the brand’s wealth of archives, which spans over six decades. Informed by the power of nature and its influence on the individual, Ackermann’s capsule boasts over 60 styles of ready-to-wear menswear and womenswear, as ’90s-style coats become drenched in cobalt blues and reflective silvers.
In a campaign shot by Willy Vandeperre, Hawke showcases the seasonal collection amongst a cast of coat-clad characters, all of which have their own connection to the outside world. Visuals are paired with moving images in a series of vignettes, aiming to delve into the interrelationship between humans and nature. The capsule is available now, with a second and third drop due to release in due course.
