THE NEW LOUIS VUITTON MALLE VESTIAIRE
An iconic Louis Vuitton trunk, but make it sporty. The Maison has announced the launch of the first Malle Vestiaire: a wardrobe trunk in collaboration with New Zealand rugby legend, Dan Carter. The LV ambassador worked with the house's artisans to create the sleek, charcoal black canvas stamped with the Monogram Eclipse is reminiscent of Carter's team and time playing for the All Blacks. The interior of the trunk features sportswear-inspired fabrics, with a selection of Carter's most prized memorabilia including three World Rugby Player of the Year awards; three Rugby World Cup medals; three jerseys worn at the world cups; retirement boots and a Louis Vuitton rugby ball he created with the house in 2019. Impressive.
“On the occasion of the 2023 Rugby World Cup inFrance, we wanted to create an extra-special object,” says Carter. “This Malle Vestiaire holds all
the memorabilia that symbolise the amazing memoriesI have of playing professional rugby, while alsopaying tribute to Louis Vuitton’s renowned Art of Travel.I really can’t think of a better way for them to bedisplayed than in this beautiful trunk.” The trunk is officially available to purchase online now ahead of the Rugby World Cup taking place in France from September 8th.
